Why isn't there an option for 'in-app filter' for lists?

I like the option to add in-app filter for Tabs that are configured to show lists. However, I have a new tab that shows components plus a list. This list does not have an option to add an in-app filter… why not?!

Hoping I am wrong! Seems crazy that we have to start adding choice components manually.

Hi,

I believe it’s because a details page can have multiple lists on it at the same time. One filter at the top would not be intuitive for the end user if it didn’t apply to all lists on the screen.
