I just recently discovered Glide while working on a personal project. I created and published an app less than a week ago. I have 5 users (including myself), and yesterday we started getting a message saying, “This team has reached its update limit”.
Being so new I wasn’t aware of the update restrictions, so I began doing some research – and know I am more confused than when I began.
Quick description of the components in my app;
Use relation, rollup, and computation columns
Also played around with experimental columns; JavaScript, Dates, and Excel Formulas
Uses workflows heavily, but obviously only with user interaction
Even though I made my account less than a month ago, I was automatically given the “Legacy” Free account – is this right?
My usage page is showing a limit of 1000 Updates – aren’t Free accounts limited to 0 updates?
Most confusing to me is how I even used updates in the first place. I am using only Glide Tables, and as far as I could tell that should not be using updates. Does any row change cause an update, even in a Glide Table?
Biggest question; how can I fix this issue? Is there something wrong with my account, or is there ways for me to do my app in a better way?
Something is not quite right. The team at Glide has been notified to see if this might be a bug. Hopefully someone from support will reach out to your directly.
Your followup concerns stem from the fact that you are building inside a Legacy Free account.
Matthew, could you create a new team which should automatically be set to the Free plan? If you are successful creating a new team on the Free plan, you should be building your projects in there, not from inside a team on the Legacy Free plan.
Is it possible you have multiple teams? You can see the team you have by clicking on the name of the active team, a drop down will appear.
I wonder if you have a paid team where you created an app and published it. And then you might have a different Legacy Free team. And you got the two confused?
Nathan,
Appreciate the response. I made a new team, and it is automatically set to “Free” – not “Legacy Free”. Is there a way to transfer my app from the “Legacy Free” team to the “Free” team, to save me from having to rebuild it?
And to answer your other question, I didn’t have multiple teams and never paid for any subscription or got a free trial. Definitely weird.
