Can User Specific columns be written to via API calls?

We are partnering with someone, and they are going to be making use of Glides API to call it and write data into the rows. However some of the rows have user specific columns, and their unique column ID isn’t showing up in Glides API documentation for me.

Am I correct in thinking that they can’t write to those columns then?
