Bring Push Notifications Back!

That’s an incredible feature that absolutely needs to be part of Glide again! It’s so powerful, offering the ability to send notifications without relying on emails.

Push notifications has been integral in our Apps. A use case is our inventory/customer management system. Our team is notified (via push notifications) when a product or customer has been updated and this has been a very useful feature for us.
The notification message entailed what we needed our team to know so a need to link back into the App to a specific page was not overly important.
I would imagine with the introduction of workflows by Glide, Push Notifications being now able to be triggered by changes in tables or by schedule that it would be an important feature for a software like Glide to offer to existing and potential customers.

I used the feature every day as a reminder to my to to use the apps. Use has dropped off since this feature was eliminated.

Please reinstate. This is vital for APPs. My (our) clients are only familiar and reliant on Push Notifications for an APP. Why should we be any different!

Emails are not recognized as an APP ‘‘feature’’

The way it was working was enough for our business. It’s better to have it, even if it was not that reliable, then not have it.

Push notifications have been used in numerous apps within my glideapps repertoire.
Its probably one of the pillar reasons I’m using glide!
Please bring this back asap :frowning:
I’m going to hunt down workarounds, but I don’t think there are other options aside using emails at the time being :confused:

Two of my clients have asked me if we could move from Glide since I told them that push notifications no longer work. Unfortunately, e-mail notifications are not enough for them.

It would be nice to hear your thoughts about this, or just get an update on how the thinking process is right now for the Glideteam when it comes to push. Please @NoCodeAndy

I’d like to know Glide’s current stance on the reintroduction of push notifications or any potential plans regarding this feature. Given the high demand, it would be helpful to understand your arguments for or against its re-implementation.

Unfortunately the push notification issues with PWAs in iOS are a blocker.

They’re caused by dependencies beyond our control.

That’s why we kept the feature in beta but ultimately deprecated it.

If/when that situation changes, I’m sure we’ll take another look at bringing back push notifications.
