App 'not found'

ok done, still in the red

It can take a little while. Show me the other one again, just so I can double check that it’s now correct.

Okay, that looks good.
I don’t see the A record, but I assume you have it there somewhere as you have a green tick on that one.

What happens if you go back to Glide and click on the “Verify” button?

Is it normal for my app to be down in the meantime?

clicked on verify, didn’t change yet

Yes, because the DNS is broken.
But like I said, it will still be accessible via the alternate URL (the glideapp.io one)

What do you see if you click on this

Okay, Glide is still seeing the old record.

Check carefully that you only have one TXT record with _glideauthid, and that record has the correct data value.

If you have any others, delete them.

Once you’ve done that, just wait a little while. DNS changes don’t propagate immediately.

omg it just turned green!

I knew we’d get there eventually, I had the upmost confidence in your ability to get it right

looks like i still cant access app though, so is that the part that takes about 24 hours?

lol you had more confidence than i did!

It can take a little while, yes.

You can reduce that by editing the records and setting a very low value for the TTL.

But it’s probably safer just to wait

I’ll be surprised if it takes 24 hours - depends what the default TTL is. I think most hosting providers give you a default of 3600 (1 hour)

i think mine is set to 1/2 hour!

I THINK IT’S WORKING! Oh my god, i need a coffee now. THANK YOU, you’re the best!!!

Very helpful! Do you typically create a subdomain for www or just add the CNAME record to DNS? Thank you so much!
