App 'not found'

@Katelyn_Alberts - okay, it looks like you need to update the DNS settings with your host provider. As George explained in the thread I linked to earlier, Glide has been auditing these, and for various reasons some of them have become “disconfigured”. One of mine was affected, and it looks like yours has been as well.

If you compare those settings in Glide to those in you DNS zone settings, you will find that they no longer match. So you just need to update your DNS and make sure they match. (clicking on that little red info icon will also give you a hint).

Once you have two green ticks, you should be good to go. Just be aware that the changes could take a little while to update.

ok it’s been awhile since i did this. So I just have to copy the 2 links from the Glide side and paste it with the same configurations into the provider side? And then wait for it to approve. Do I have to delete any of the old ones?

It depends on what you currently have.
The important thing is that all values and record types should match on both sides.

I tried .glideapp.io. It worked so I think you need glideapp.io and not .app

this looks like the first one with the different code:

And it looks like the second one is a totally different number?

Attaching this one again for easy reference:

So do I delete the old records so that it doesn’t get confused and not know what to point to? (i have no idea what im talking about btw)

  • Edit the _glideauthid TXT record and add the new data value that Glide gives you (GPFHT....)
  • Delete one of the A records, and edit the other one to use the new 104.22.4.63 IP address that Glide has provided.

got it thanks!!!

How did you get on, did that get it working for you?

only 1 is working!

But the one with the Glideauthid, the support staff person only used an @ and i asked if that mattered and she said no

omg and now my app is broken…

Yes, but it’s an easy fix.

In the “new”, replace the @ with _glideauthid
And then delete the “old”

i panicked and did the opposite, i changed the old entry’s content that had glideauth to the new code? Should I do it the other way?

Do it anyway you like, as long as the end result is that what you have in your DNS host records matches what Glide has given you - for each of Host, Type and Data

If you still don’t have 2 green ticks, give me another set of screenshots - and then don’t do anything else until I reply

I wish I knew it was going to make my app shut down until it was done transferring

Your app will still be reachable using the Glide assigned hostname, ie. …glideapp.io

I thought you were sleeping lol

I still don’t, should it happen right away?

Show me what you have in your DNS host records

(I’m usually awake at 9pm)

Delete the second last one
