šŸ†• All-New Team Plans Coming Thursday, April 21st

I just found out that the plans and prices are changing.
It all looks more confusing now.
If I look at this, I am not really happy with it.
At this moment I have 3 publishes apps and I am working on the fourth one. If I see it right, I cannot do this in the free plan and need to move one plan up. Then I would have 5 published apps.
And how about app number 6?
Then it would cost me even more.
I am only making those apps for myself. I need to think really hard about this.
I also saw something about unlimited zaps. But I cannot find this back in the plan details.

Ok, iā€™m a little confused because those features arenā€™t restricted to the Business plan, they are introduced in Pro.

Anyways, it would make sense to put them back if the idea is to remove difficulties in experimentation with Glide, some level of access (like the current quota of 10), is congruent with the idea of making the plans more flexible.

You can create as many teams as youā€™d like and they can each have 3 published apps on the free plan. If you donā€™t require the paid features, the free tier should still work for you.

Thanks.
Do you have any idea about the zaps? I cannot find anything about this.
I also noticed that before, when I placed my mouse on ā€œUpgradeā€ in the top right corner, I saw the status and data usage. But now I donā€™t see it anymore. And when I click on ā€œUpgradeā€ I only see the plans I could upgrade to.
It would be nice if I still could see what my data usage is. Or did they hide it somewhere else?

Zaps are unlimited on all plans now.

This is on your teamā€™s Usage page, on your dashboard.

@Uzo respectfully, I donā€™t think you know anything about how our business works, or who our customers are.

i have a good ideaā€¦ Iā€™m in the business for over 30 years

We tried offering small plans ā€“ Basic, Boosts ā€“ and they only accounted for a very small sliver of revenue compared to our larger plans. Weā€™ve already seen a promising amount of upgrades on the new plansā€“they are working.

Found it. Sorry, missed it. :slightly_smiling_face:

because they donā€™t have a choice right nowā€¦ you change deals almost overnight, trust me make a mini pro for $10/ per month so all these users can transition from the previous deal. I know all these big traffickers will go to a new dealā€¦ no doubtsā€¦
i.m talking about all these little ones with pro apps, they gonna haunt youā€¦ and why you are hesitating? you will make a fortune from these mini PRO for $10/month, just calculate all the limits for thatā€¦
Do you know how I made my first million? I went for a mass sale at a low priceā€¦ I wasted 10 years mowing products with high markupā€¦ and high priceā€¦

Sorry @Uzo, my previous comment was not constructive. Thank you for your help and feedback about the pricing!

I would like to find out if there is any plan to have permissions within teams. I think I saw it somewhere in the thread and I canā€™t seem to find it now.

Specifically concerning that (permissions).
What I would like to know is whether it would be allowed for people to ā€œclubā€ together, agency style to build apps. This would be to counter the effect of having to pay for Pro ($99) while you are still building or even experimenting for a particular use case.

Example:
5 ā€œeditorsā€ with different permissions on each App within the team sharing the cost of that Pro Plan ending up paying ~$20 each but each having full access to their respective App.

Seems Glide wonā€™t change pricing at the moment. They are fixed to it and checking how it goes.No hope at the moment.we have to change to the pricing what proposed.

I get that. I donā€™t want them to change the pricing. I think the pricing is fair and that is the general impression of everyone. The point of contention is number of UPDATES.

They just need to work on the structure of each plan such that it is fair to the targeted users of that particular plan.

At the moment, Starter has got it worse than any of the plans and considering that Starter will mostly be individuals that are not necessarily at expert level and are still experimenting with certain things or use cases that amount of updates is not in proportion to the Free plan.
There should be a clear distinction between a customer that pays $0 for use of a tool and ones that pays $25 for it.

That is where I think there is room for improvement.

And it makes sense to do so :raised_hands: It would be silly to put all this research and work into a new pricing model and not even give it a chance!

Though I do agree with this. Net access for Glide features seems reduced for newcomers. Is it 1 billion users, or 1 billion apps that is the goal? I think the free and starter distinctions/structure doesnā€™t support the former, but canā€™t argue that the model as a whole does support the latter.

I have admittedly un-rationalised faith in the idea of access over ownership (coming from the creative industries). So if Glide wishes to have one fifth of the internet users on their platform, opening up the entry-level will encourage the necessary innovation for that to evolve.

Having said that balancing this idea with funding their own innovation seems like an impossibly insurmountable task, so kudos on doing it regardless!

In the words of Bill Withers. ā€œDo it, do it goodā€
