In addition to the steps below, I would change the URL for your app, copy it, then set the URL in the new app to match what it used to be in the old app. I think this should keep all of the settings. I would also consider setting up a gmail account for the school, so it’s not tied to a specific person.

Transfer the application to another user

You could go into the privacy tab in the builder and turn on the option to allow the app to be copied. Turn the option on, open the app in a browser, have the new owner select Copy This App, then when it’s copied, disable the option to copy the app. This should work in most situations except when you have multiple apps pointing to the same spreadsheet. The copy function will copy the app and the spreadsheet into the new owners account.
