<Semi Fixed> - Help! Button on the details page that adds a new row?

Dear Glide Community,

I have a technical issue regarding the use of buttons on the home page. What I envsion is a QR code scanning app like this (Scanning a linear barcode | Glide - YouTube) (The official example)

I am expecting the scanned item to be added to the table as a new row and not an edit to the current row. How can I do this? Thanks for your help in advance!

Semi Fixed with this quirky action - not ideal at all.
