Can we limit the number of comments shown with “read more” like the inline lists? I’m pushing the most important content off the page. Having the newest comment first I can be sure my users see relevant information, but I can still keep my button on up where they won’t have to scroll to use it.
Good idea.
How about a comment-style layout for inline lists?
That would work too. Actually I think that might be pretty cool.
You would need to limit the number of characters and set a fixed height.
My social app has groups that people join and I wanted to use comments as a quick way for members to communicate with each other. Unfortunately, having unlimited amount of comments display and this sort order makes it a non-starter. There is no easy way to moderate comments and it does not support URLs. I wish it got some more love!
I am not sure how else to support group communication in my app without building a post system. Is that what people are doing?
Yep that’s what we’re doing.
Though you could potentially use the webview component to embed a chat.
Nice work! Super clean design and a great use of the tools.
I was afraid that I was going to have to make something from the ground up. Even still, I won’t be able to engage and retain users the way I would like until glide releases a cross platform notification solution.
