Possible to have a public app with optional sign in?

Hello! I’m trying to figure out how to have a public app with optional sign in, using all emails in a specified table.

Every time I select option to allow all emails in a specified table, the app goes back to private.

I wanted to see if this is user error on my end or as intended!

I faced this same issue. When set to optional sign in, you have to use the users table instead of an alternate table (for whatever reason). Pretty sure this is a bug.
