"Please use your personal email address" error shown only for specific domains (Private app, User Table access)

Hi everyone,

I’m using the Maker Plan, and my app access is configured as:
Access > Private > Users > Users Table.
A User Profile table is set up properly, and the Email column is correctly linked.

Most users can log in without any problems, but for certain email addresses (such as @i.softbank.jp, a mobile carrier domain in Japan), the following message appears during login:

“Please use your personal email address to access this app.”

  • This happens even though the email address is explicitly listed in the User Table.
  • Other domains like gmail.com or docomo.ne.jp can log in successfully.
  • There are no domain restrictions set under “Limit access by email domain” or any privacy filters that should cause this.

Has anyone encountered similar behavior where only some email domains are rejected with this message, despite being present in the authorized users table?

Any ideas why this happens or how it might be avoided would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

The Free, Explorer, and Maker plans allow personal users only. A personal app user is a user that signs into a Glide app using a personal email domain, such as Gmail, or an education email domain, such as .edu.

This is why gmail.com or docomo.ne.jp can log in successfully, since they are considered personal domains, but @i.softbank.jp is not.

You can use Glide’s validator to check.
