Pin sent to some recipients not others

This is odd. Pin sending has been impeccable for months…suddenly only some users receive the pin.

Do those users that don’t receive them have anything in common?
For example, do they share the same email domain, or are they in the same geographical region?

Yes. I am testing the app using multiple users with email address that I own…BUT I switched off send pin in settings…and then switched it back on…and all is OK now. Sounds like some kind of cache issue?

I couldn’t really say.

But one thing I will say that issues with delivery of PIN emails almost always boil down to one of two reasons:

Either:

  • they get blocked/filtered somewhere in the delivery path. Most commonly by a corporate email filter,
  • or the receiving client treats them as spam.

It’s very rare that the issue is on the Glide side, and if/when that ever happened it would be more likely to be affecting all users, rather than a select few.

These were all gmail addresses and were definitely not found in spam…

Odd ?

Can’t really point to any reasons if they are all normal @gmail.com accounts. If possible, please submit a ticket.

It’s all working perfectly now. I will submit a ticket if it reoccurs.
