Impact of downgrading from Maker to Explorer

Hi everyone,

Quick question – if I downgrade my plan, will my custom domain stop working completely, or will it stay active but just not let me make changes?

I’ve built and launched a roster and pay calculator app, and feedback so far has been really positive. That said, there are still a couple of critical features I need to finish before I can properly push the monetisation side. I’m charging a small subscription fee at the moment and adoption’s been steady, but I doubt I’ll get past 100 users until those last features are done.

Right now I’m on the Maker plan so I can use a custom domain (app.mymeca.nz), but I’m wondering if I can temporarily drop down to Explorer for a month or two – just to save a bit of money – without breaking the domain.

Congratulations on launching your app, sounds like you are getting some good traction :+1:

My understanding, having experienced this before, is that downgrading will result in you losing the custom domain aspect of your app.

So probably best keep your existing plan.
