I want to ask about the source code

Hello fellow gliders. I am building a law firm management software with glide. Each firm will have its own app since glide’s pro plan allows unlimited apps, however I wanted to ask something before I commit to glide.
Is it possible to get the source code to the app if I subscribe to the enterprise plan?

No, Glide do not share the source code.

Thanks for the quick response, Darren. Is there a limit on number of public users for say…the pro plan? I only see the private users

The numbers are given on the Pricing Page.

Wow…am really loving your quick response, Darren. Really professional. I have one last question. The pricing page says the number of apps on the pro plan are unlimited yet it says you can only use 10 data editors. I thought since the apps are unlimited, so will the data editors since every app has its own data editor or am I missing something?

Editors in that context means team members that are actually opening the Apps in the Glide builder and editing the layout and/or structure of the Apps.

Thank you for your help Darren. You’re awesome. Am starting to like glide. I hope you guys aren’t gonna make drastic pricing changes and updates out of the blue in 2024…hahaha

One more thing, when they say the number of public users is 500, does that mean per app or for all the apps in general?

User counts are per team, and are reset on a monthly basis.

Glide has changed its pricing a number of times over the years to account for improvements in the product and for clarity.

In my view, Glide’s pricing could benefit from further clarity. The following are still difficult to grasp:

  • Forecasting updates and syncs (updates used for navigation and custom forms for instance)
  • Public vs private users (access rules)
  • Some limits apply to a team, others to apps

Glide used to price on a per-app basis. It now charges for groups of apps. Business software is usually priced on a per-seat basis. I wouldn’t be surprised if Glide started to charge per-seat (per user) for groups of apps. This would require more advanced user management than is currently available to allocate users to groups of apps (rather than per app like is currently the case).

This is all speculation on my part.

I have no idea what Glide is planning with regards to pricing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if new pricing is on the way. David, Glide’s CEO, has hinted to this a number of times.

If glide starts charging per end user, then I’ll just have to take my money elsewhere
