Exporting data and Hotmail

Hi Gliders! Hope you are all doing great! As you can see in the image attached, I tried exporting app data and get the message “you will receive a download link at mbraunperu@hotmail.com when export is complete”. The problem is, for some reason I do not receive the emails sent by GLIDE. Must be a microsoft problem, I don´t know. Instead, I do receive GLIDE emails in my gmail account. So, where do I change my email address in GLIDE so that such emails are sent to my gmail?

Might be obvious, but have you checked spam folders?

The article states “You can’t directly change the email on your existing Glide account”.

Fair question. Yes, I always check spam folder, but find no glide emails there. I will read the document you sent. Hope it works. Thanks Thinh.

Do you have a lot of tables? I guess an alternative is to download each of your table at once, if it’s not a Big Table.

I did a copy paste of each table into excel.

I think you can try going into the data view and export some large tables to CSV next time if copying takes too much time.

Hello Thinh, this does not work. My new email shows as “pending invite” although I did confirm the invite in my mail. Instead I am now in a worse position as I cannot log in to my “old” glide hotmail account because I do not receive emails from glide in my hotmail (which was the original problem) to confirm the log in. Please help.

But if you have the invite in your email, does that log you in with the Gmail account?

Yes it does but my APPs do not show there.

Did you invite your gmail account to the same team where you store your apps?

It is actually martinbraunperu@gmail.com and yes, both screenshots are from gmail glide account.

I store my apps in the hotmail account. I cannot invite my gmail account because I do not receive emails from glide in my hotmail (not even in spam folder). Thus, I do not get the authentication email and therefore I cannot log in to my glide hotmail account. I cannot access my APPs.

I did some search on other forums and seems like it’s a well-known problem of services not being able to send emails to Hotmail users, not just Glide.

Is there a Safe Senders option in your Hotmail account that you can add Glide’s email address to? Here are the potential steps I found..

  1. Go to SettingsView all Outlook settingsMailJunk email.
  2. Under Safe senders and domains, add Glide’s sending address.
  3. Save your changes.

You can also check blocked senders and rules.

  • In the Junk email section, review your Blocked senders and domains list and remove any Glide addresses/domains if present.
  • Check SettingsMailRules. Delete or disable any automated rules that may move or delete incoming mail from Glide.

You may also want to check this.

Thanks Dinh but I already tried every single thing you mention above. In fact, I am also communicating with Microsoft to solve the problem. No luck yet.

Thinh, this is what Microsoft tells me:

Contact Glide Support. The “too many requests” error you mentioned often means the sender’s servers are being temporarily blocked by Microsoft for protection. This is an issue that only Glide can fix, you must contact Glide’s support team and tell them:

“I have an existing account with my email mbraunperu@hotmail.com but am not receiving your sign-in emails. I have checked my junk folder and created an inbox rule. The issue appears to be a delivery problem from your servers to the Microsoft/Outlook network. Please have your email administrators check their server logs for bounce messages or delivery failures to my address.”

Please help, its been many days since I cannot work (log in to my apps).

I will ask the team if they have any ideas how to fix your case.

@mbraunperu I’ve made an update. Please try again with your Hotmail account and let us know if you receive anything. Be sure to check your junk folder.

Thanks for your help but I did not receive any mail, not even in junk folder. Is there a way you can pass all my apps to my gmail account so that I can continue working? Thanks again.

Hello. I really need this problem to be solved. I cannot access my glide hotmail profile where all my apps are and where I am paying $249 a month. Thank you.

Support informed me that they used an email bounce checker 3 days ago and cleared a block on your account. This was before your last 2 replies, and I checked the tool myself but can not see any blocks anymore.

If the email still doesn’t get delivered and isn’t in your spam/quarantine, I’m not sure they can help anymore and you might have to check with Microsoft support.
