"Error capturing audio" on record component

Hello everybody.

I have a app where i record things with a audio recorder component. But some of my clients reports that when you record, the notification “Error capturing audio” comes on the screen.

I hope someone can help.

Can they reproduce that reliably in a video? I think you can submit a ticket if you get a video of that, plus info of the device type users were using.

Hello @ThinhDinh, thanks for the fast answer.

I made some research about this, and i said to 20 of my clients to use the app, and report if something happens. Two of them went back and reported the problem. Both of the users was using a IOS phone. One of them a iphone 14 pro, and the other was using a iphone 13. I hope you can help.

Here is some pictures.

I would suggest them submitting a video of the problem to you, and then you open a ticket so the team can look further into this.

What I think would be good is using a embed to embed a recorder that will record to a certain location. You could also use Glide AI to transcript it instead although I don;t know how that would help.

I don’t really know what your goal is with the audio recorder, that could help the community to make a relevent response

But there is a lot of private stuff in my app. Like phone numbers, emails names and recordings.

And for @Collin_Stedham they are recording some religious texts. It takes up to 10 minutes.

Glide can’t help more without a ticket. If you decide to submit one, here’s what they can do:

"When support look at your app, they can look at the app and the data in the Data Editor. They can change the app and data locally (on their end) to troubleshoot, but these changes won’t be saved or won’t affect your actual app.

Support will also not have access to your spreadsheet directly (although they will see the data in the Data Editor).

We keep a full record of every time support look at your app."

I understand that you need to get acess to the app. But i can see that it works fine when i do it in the layout section. I think its something with the phone. Is there like any setting that maybe is disabled since it dosen’t work on exatly their devices?

It might be the time. Maybe Glide has a time limit? How long was your test recording?

(Just a guess)

my test recording was like in 10 seconds

Just test out using two different recordings for the same audio. That might work a bit better.
