Description
Whenever (4/5 of the time) I try and edit the properties of a component inside a collection, the component is either 1. duplicated at the top of the page 2. deleted (along with everything else on the page except the duplicated component) and 3. sometimes says “Component configuration failed. Remove the component or try to reconfigure.’ deleted my block!” in the style of a yellow hint component
I think @Ruslan_Raspopov had a similar issue ('Component configuration failed. Remove the component or try to reconfigure.' deleted my block! - #7 by Ruslan_Raspopov)
How to replicate
I don’t know, it started happening no longer than a week ago
I’m having the same issues. My edits will vanish or reset to what I had many edits ago. Sometimes, I’m not allowed to edit anything. I can’t select another set of data.
I just added a calendar component. It will not allow me to add events. The ‘add’ button isn’t available. I even added the title bar with the button manually with no joy.
These things have been happening for better than a month.
Yeah, also things like, I will have 3 buttons. 1 button will be programed to go to a feedback form and the other ones go to other new screens. But when I click any one of them they will go to the feedback form when the action is not set as that. It only works (once) after I reload. Little things like these add up pretty quick so that I just can’t even update or edit the app without worrying about something deleting or changing without my control.
Same. I have a button that goes to a new screen. I wanted to edit it today, but every time I clicked it a document I have in another table would open. It didn’t make any sense.
I’d have to reload the page to get it to work just once. Rinse. Repeat. Simply maddening.
That’s a weird one! Did this only start happening recently, or was something recently changed with you app? Any chance you migrated from an old Classic app?
I’ve checked this through the Support Link provided and cannot reproduce the behavior. Has this been resolved @Darbi_Moore ?
If it’s still happening for you, please let us know what browser and version you’re using. Also, please try clearing your browser’s cache. If you can also try this in a different browser, let us know if the behavior is the same in the other browser.
I haven’t changed anything dramatically with my app, just updating (or trying to update) stuff as per usual. It was not a migrated app and when i copied the app it had the same errors. I cleared the cache for my browser, reloading the page, and it still happened. I use Brave so i went to Edge and tried it and it still happended
