Would it be possible to implement a feature from the old Glide Pages pricing as it relates to extra private users?
I’m referring to the addon fee of $2 per additional user after we’ve exceeded the private user count

Hey @Ty.rel,
Can you share more detail on why you want this?
Thanks for the speedy response!
Ok. I’m currently creating a ticketing system using Glide Apps. It’ll allow several event promoters to list their tickets and sell them via the platform.
I’d also like the attendees to save their tickets/ticket image within the application so that they’ll be able to present them at the door. Also I’d also like to give them the ability to resell/transfer their tickets to others.
My problem is that after some beta testing, I’m expecting the volume of persons purchasing and transferring (both of which would require user profiles) to surpass my current limit of 50 Private users and even 100 current users.
After crunching some numbers, I do think it would be a fair trade-off to pay the additional $2 per user in order to fully realise my vision.
I apologise if I overshared
Not at all. Thanks for sharing. What’s the reason for the users being private and not public? Or having one public-facing app for attendees and one private for promoters? I’ve attached the new pricing model here:
Public users won’t have the ability to save/retain tickets nor would they be able to transfer/trade them.
I’m currently on the Pro plan as I’ve already built several Glide Pages for my company.
What is it about the way you have it set up with Private users that only allows those types of users to save anything? Users can be Public and still signed in, and I would think that you could still have functionality for them to save/transfer/trade.
There’s 3 type of users.
@Jeff_Hager has entered the building ladies and gentlemen.
I have spent the better part of 2 weeks trying to work my brain around this and no dice. Would you be able to assist me in figuring this out?
I have just enough free time to assist through the forum.
First figure out what’s triggering your users to be considered private users.
I really wouldn’t think much would have to change. If user’s need to sign in to do anything, then it shouldn’t matter if they Private or Public signed in users. Now I’m not saying that there isn’t a time and place for Private users, but that largely depends on if you have data where it’s vital that it’s secure. If only specific users are allowed to sign in, thus fully securing the app and it’s data, then it needs to be private to use the whitelist. If users need to be assigned a specific Role for security (and row owner) purposes, then they will also need to be private users.
Thanks Jeff. I’ll take what you said into consideration and see what solutions I can come up with
