Background color startup-screen

Hi,

A few years ago I build a “classic”-app with green color-style.
Now, I want to change the theme to a different color. Changed this in settings and the colors in the different screens now have this new color, but… the startup-screen (with the icon) still has the old green-background.
I thought this would change too, but not.
I tried to upload another icon to “reset” that screen, but still the old green background.

Where can I change this color?
Wim

Do you experience this with the published and installed app?

yes, the app on my phone has the new color everywhere, except on the startup-screen…
Is there a way to “re-publish” the app?
As the app is user by several persons, I want to avoid they have to re-install the app, just for that color. Maybe a bug in Glide Classic-app?

I think your only option is a reinstall. What actually gets installed is just a shell program with the startup screen and icon and nothing else. When you see the startup screen, the rest of the application is downloading behind the scenes. This happens every time you open the app. Think of a glide app like a simple web browser that gets installed, and that web browser can only open your app’s webpage and nothing else.

Some devices may actually reload the color and icon into that shell program, and some devices may not do that. All depends on the OS and browser. In general, I’ve found it better to uninstall and reinstall if I ever update colors or the icon…or just not worry about it.
