App background colour change

I have designed an app with a light colour background ie (white) but it is appearing black on some user phones. Can anybody help me as to why this is happening? Would be much appreciated. Thanks

Is this a classic app or a New app? If it’s a classic app head over to appearance and uncheck “match device’s theme”
