When I set an action in an AI component to show a notification on click, it works perfectly. But when I try with an “open link” action, it is not working.
When you inspect the underlying code, I guess it still references @submitForm? I saw this before, I have to add a prompt for the component to understand I’m trying to open a link.
Yes! I am using a data variable to use the right action.
The engineering team is aware of this limitation and is investigating the best approach to help improve this behavior. The issue has to do with the iFrame that the AI Custom Component lives in.
Also, please keep in mind that this feature is in beta. Features in beta can be unpredictable and may change as development continues.
Thanks for the update. Well, I was able to make an AI Custom Component that open a link in a new tab but because it is clicked from an iFrame (not same origin), all the cookie sessions are not loaded. So I wanted to try with the native Open Link action.
@MaximeBaker Cookie or SSID unique ID can be the issue.
Can you explain more please?
Well Glide Team explained, so I shut down.
Sorry I don’t get it…
