RTL adjustment without needed CSS in business plan is my top want since 2018

Take a page out of Make’s book eh?

Trying to understand this here. How is it different than an overlay?

Data sources and limits:

  • Possibility to change a table’s type from Glide Table to Glide Big Table without necessity to rebuild all interfaces built on that data. OR optimization of Glide Tables to work smoothly with larger datasets.
  • Allow Big Table to be a User Profiles source
  • Series of how-to guides for using SQL with Glide. Similarly to what you have for APIs.

Builder

  • More powerful data editor: better grouping, show icon for non-used columns, sorting
  • Bulk operations similarly to SQL
  • Place in team dashboard to see and manage all data tables

Integrations

  • Hotjar integration to see user’s behavior inside the app
  • Fixed Intercom integration (secure user verification, placement of how-to hints)

Container Layout
Need more container option, such as 1:3, 3:1, and 5 colums.

Data security and optimization

  • Arrays/lists as row owners
  • Column owners
  • Local data table (instead of using users table)

Layout and styling

  • Custom fonts
  • More color customization for components
  • Dark mode

Glide platform

  • Duplicate computed columns
  • Copy and paste components/pages from other apps
  • Being able to build apps for customers and have them input their credit card details in their own customer portal that could be white labeled for agencies. Having the ability to configure how and when to charge customers: per month/year/users, etc. Glide would get paid a fixed amount and the agency would get the remaining depending on the price they set.

Fixes and improvements

  • Fix localized texts to show in the right language
  • Improve calendar (don’t show certain time of day or weekends, etc.)
  • Ability to display prefix/suffix in entry fields.
  • Call API available on pro plan.
  • Improve lists (batch add, duplicate, delete, etc.)
  • Ability to add conditions to later steps of a compound action.
  • Real time geolocation.
  • Dynamic values based on screen values for forms like changing default values of a text entry component based on the choice of a choice component.
  • Triggering actions while typing in a field or choosing in choice component.
  • Folders for actions.
  • Scheduled/time triggered actions.
  • Trigger actions via API.
  • Complete and simple Stripe integration.
  • Merge big tables and regular tables.
  • General app speed.

My two cents:

  1. must be: container in container in container in…
  2. definitely: much more design options for containers.
  3. definitely: a little bit more design options at all
  4. more ways to fire actions (page on load, scheduled, on time)
  5. more ways to bulk edit tables in table editor: filing with dragging, like in excel?
  6. possibility to change page main source table without need to build everything from scratch…
  7. access to Google Analitics in Team subscription - isn’t it weird to pay 75 bucks only for this one integration???

… and of course:
everything above should be available in TEAM PLAN!

Happy and fruitful 2024 year!

the glide data editor is not great , i can’t edit or filter content easily , if the table look and behave like airtable table then it it will be perfect @david

Can you share your ā€œeditā€ content experience?

First, it is very hard to find/filter content, currently, all editing is basically via airtable ā€œsynced to glideā€ , glide table is unusable honestly due to many reasons:
1-you can’t do filter (single or multi) eg filter by one word then I remove all rows based on the filter result
2-you can’t remove multiple rows
3-you can’t reorder columns based on value eg 1-9 vs 9-1 etc

Am trying to leave the airtable to use the glide table but unfortunately, it is not possible to edit a table with 20,000 rows.

Glide is not Airtable, and it isn’t supposed to be.
The idea with Glide is that you build an interface on top of your data, and use that to interact with it.
If you primarily want to interact with your data via the Data Editor, then you’re probably better off sticking with Airtable. Or use a spreadsheet.

It’s easy to build this functionality in the front end.

Yes you can. Select one or more rows by clicking on the row number/s, then hit the delete key on your keyboard.

Data can be ordered in the front end. It’s not meant to be sorted in the Data Editor. If that’s what you are looking for, again - use a spreadsheet.

I disagree with this statement, glide tables with 100,000 rows or more need this feature, period. Otherwise it will be irrelevant and user will use sql and other db!
This is not a marginal feature, this is the core of their product, why it’s not possible to do these basics features that is available in any basic db!

Anyway, This is not massive list of features, this is an easy one that could be made in few weeks, so it should not be an issue.

Wish the richtext component from the classic app was powerful for writing CSS in it.

  • bring back select mode
  • allow actions on big numbers

Beating a dead horse here but true offline mode. I built my app before Glide committed to the B2B lane and there was always talk (at least in my recollection, and I could very well be revising history) of being able to use our apps offline like a true PWA / IPA. This included, most importantly, being able to load and use it as it was intended to be used (as if it was connected to the internet), save for being able to upload/download content.

There was robust discussion about this in a post I made earlier this year, and I know that Glide’s official response was that work on this feature was not planned, but I really believe that it would benefit developers and users alike. B2B users aren’t always sitting in a four-walled environment where wifi signals are five bars strong or are working in a metropolitan area where good signal exists.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk. END RANT

First off, congrats for the impressive achievements of 2023!

We’d love to be able to pick EU as the place where data is stored and processed. I understand it’s no small feature, but following GDPR is crucial in Europe and keeping users’ data in the EU would make it easier to build larger businesses on Glide.

I do like in-app filter. But, it’s nice to have roll up function worked on in-app filter
