The 515 is edit row. I assume that is add-new-row and set-col-val but not really sure.
What is this supposed to tell me?
TIA

Sync should be any time Glide needs to sync there copy of the data with external data sources, such as Google sheets.
Edit would be any data changes to external data sources.
Jeff - I believe the majority of my syncs are now driven by the set-col-vals against the User table (currently google) because I am now using tabs componenets; moving the User table to a Glide table would bring these CRUD operations/syncs to 0. Is this a basically correct statement
?
Thanks as always
I believe writing aggressively to the google table (for my UI state information) has been driving up the sync total because glide tracks the local changes and pushes/syncs them back to the google table. Is this a correct assumption?
yes, that would be correct. If you wanted to keep the user table in Google sheets, you could structure your screens around a separate single row Glide table that utilizes user specific columns. Or instead of relying on on setting values through the user profile, you could create a Single Value → Whole Row that points to your single row Glide table and sets values through the Single Value column
Yes definitely. Syncing those data changes to and from Google will definitely incur updates. User specific columns in that Google table may or may not help, but I’m not sure off the top of my head. I feel like I read somewhere that it was still counting edits but I’m not positive on that.
Does Glide provide a history of usage over time? (updates, rows, edits etc)
What do people use to keep track of usage month to month or year over year?
Thanks
Matt
All I’ve ever paid attention to is the monthly insights email that provides the trend percentage of updates compared to the previous month. It doesn’t show much of a breakdown though. The usage tab in the dashboard gives more details and provides stats for the current and prior cycle. You’d probably have to compile those numbers yourself to track long term trends.
Personally, my primary app has around 12k rows and 5 user. It should be about 2k rows less, but I’ve had my archiving process disabled for the past year. Updates are currently at 1.5k, mostly because of tables linked to google sheets. I don’t see any separate syncs–just add, edit, deletes. Maybe that’s because I don’t use the Extra Syncs option. I’m a long ways away from approaching any limits that would cause a concern for me.
