What happens to app when downgrade or end trial

I have an app on a business trial plan. App uses some features such as barcode scanner etc… what happens if I end the trial or downgrade?

I understand the scanner won’t work but what happens to custom actions built or buttons that are related to the scanning functionality?

If I’d have to make a guess, all steps after the scanning functionality will fail in the action chain.
