Hey Gliders and Glide Expert please help me. I have 2 roles which is Employee and Admin. User Alexxx is Admin and user Salma is Employee. When im changing user Alexxx what i expect is i can see all data of Salma, but what i get is, i only see data im create and interact with. And if i seeing as a Salma , i only see data of Salma which is fine.
@Alexander_Horison it isn’t totally clear from your screenshots but I expect you use user specific values and these are only visible to the user. If you want them visible to the admin you must put the user specific values in another column which isn’t user specific.
What do you suggest using airtable or glide tables? because if using aritable in glide has many disadvantages. If i must change the data source thats mean i must recreate the table again?? . Any tips for that?
I’ve never used Airtable, so I’m probably not the best person to advise on that.
But I will say this: I always start a new App with Glide native tables as the data source. And then if I need to connect an external data source at a later stage (for whatever reason) then I will do that.
I don’t know what you currently do with Airtable. If you need your data in Airtable for other purposes unrelated to your Glide App, then perhaps you should leave it there. But if you’re only using Airtable as a data source for Glide, then for sure get rid of it. You don’t need it, and it will be more trouble than it is worth.
