Hi,
I’m panicking please help @NoCodeAndy. My team’s usage is showing as 12002 updates! I’m on the maker plan with unlimited updates enabled(willingly)
I was creating “how to use” videos of my app. So i created a copy of my published app and was testing this copy by publishing it also but not sharing it with my users since it was for testing and creating how to use videos. Since this is my first app on glide and i had no clue of the magnamity of the updates some of the workflows would consume(there were no third party integration related updates though, only set column values category of updates). I ran all the tests and then when i was done i deleted the copy app. The testing happend on 25th/26th december. The copy app for testing was deleted on 29th dec.
The nightmare started today(30th dec) when i saw the usage section out of curiousity. It was showing 11,252 updates under “deleted & transferred” apps. I almost got a heart attack! My main app(which also remained published while i was testing) had around 757 updates(which was fine because i had published it on 6th december and based on usage 757 number made sense). But since the copy app had been deleted on 29th december i couldn’t figure out what had consumed 11,252 updates there!
So i began searching my e-mail inbox and found that on the 2 days that i was testing the copy app i got e-mails of usage increasing. The last e-mail i got was 5000 updates used. But to my surprise beyond that i did not get any notification for the remaining 6252 updates(Total 11252 updates).
I remember not enabling the extra sync mode under data in settings. Some of the workflows would consume a few hundred updates depending on data but i was okay with that because they would run maybe a couple of times in a year or so. My mistake was to try those workflows super quickly without paying attention to the usage updates. The 5000 updates make some sense in terms of numbers because 5000 might be the approx no. of updates that would have happened due to my multiple tries given the rows of data i had on my app but the remaining 6252 updates which took the updates to 12002 are something that isn’t adding up and i also didn’t get any usage e-mails for them as well.
I’m just starting off and i can’t afford such a big dent due to mistakenly using the unlimited updates while testing the app.
Is there anyway glide can help waive this as a one time favour ? Also can i know somehow why didn’t i get any notifications when my app was consuming updates between the 5000-12002 value ?
Dire need of help here! ![]()
