Update re: Airtable sync issues

Hello Gliders,

Airtable experienced an outage last Friday, February 21st.

Some Glide apps syncing to Airtable may have been affected by this outage.

How to check if you’re affected

  • Compare what’s in your app’s Data Editor to what’s in your Airtable base.

What to do if you were affected

  • In many cases, clicking “manual sync” in the Data Editor will restart syncing.
  • Please give the manual sync 5-10 minutes to complete.
  • You can check if syncing is working again by comparing what’s in your Airtable base to what’s in the Data Editor.
  • If the manual sync doesn’t restart syncing, you may need to re-authenticate.
  • Follow instructions in this Help article: How to reconnect your Airtable base
    • If Option 1 doesn’t work, proceed through options 2 and 3

IMPORTANT NOTES re: Airtable authentication

  • All Airtable tables will be relinked to the app if you re-authenticate.
    • Any tables previously unlinked will need to be manually unlinked again. This is important if you’re working with very large Airtable bases that don’t need everything to be synced with your Glide app.
  • Only the Glide user who originally configured the Airtable integration can re-authenticate.
    • Airtable connections are unique to the Glide user who originally configured them. If another user re-authenticates, it will create all-new data sources in the app.

What happens if your data is out of sync?

  • Data added to your Glide app while Airtable was disconnected should sync back to the connected Airtable after the sync is restored.
