Should I enable "column is user-specific" for all the columns in the users sheet?

Hi, I have a assumption and im not sure if its true.

so currently the columns that i’ve created in “all users” sheet has “column is user-specific” disabled .

Does this mean that when someone creates a profile it will get overlapped with the other person who is also creating a profile at the same time?

Please check the screenshot attached to get an idea of the setting.

Are you planning to have users log in with their specified user email addresses? I rarely enable “user-specific” columns on user tab. Usually they’re editing their own info via their profile. Profile is available when they sign in.

Thanks for the lightning fast reply Megan

so users can login with their specific email address or go for google sign in option.

but from your experience, does NOT enabling “user-specific” columns on user tab overlap information when 2users are on the create profile page and fillign the info?

im asking this because, i dont want multiple users on the app creating a profile, and seeing content popup all of a sudden like a ghost XD

did you get what i meant?

im not sure if disabling "user-specific” columns on user tab is a mistake or if its okay

The answer is NO.
DO NOT make columns in your User Profiles table User Specific.

This is solved by filtering your tab/screen to the row of the signed-in user.

You should only use user specific columns if you expect to have multiple users editing the same column cell in the same row, but you want each user to have a unique experience without walking all over each other. If each user has their own row, then there should never be conflicts because they are each editing separate rows.

User specific column hold unique values for each user that are only visible to that person and nobody else.
