Just to add to what Jeff said, it’s actually a lot easier than you might think. The Find all uses feature is your best friend when doing something like this.
Let’s say that you have a GS column called “Col1” that does a simple calculation, and you decide to replace it with a Glide math column. All you need to do is:
- Create your new math column
- Then locate “Col1” in the Data Editor and go to “Find all uses”
- A list will appear on the right hand side in the data editor, and you can very quickly go through them one by one and change each to use your shiny new math column
- Once done, and “Find all uses” shows that your old GS column isn’t used anywhere anymore, you can head over to the GSheet and safely remove it.
