Are you talking about the template method above? It wonât have any issues I believe.
It will be fine. All calculated glide columns, including templates and relations, are calculated on each individual device. That functionality doesnât happen on the Glide servers, so it will be a unique experience for each user.
Those are good news!
I cant wait until we are able to clear entire columns with the exception of their headers. That would make for some amazing options.
Whatâs your use case?
To clear entire columns except top row
So Imagine you had a contest and u used rows because u had multiple people. Contest ends now your manually clearing columns
Or a game when its game over
Or maybe a daily routine
the lists go on and on
With my fantasy app I do this every week, across multiple sheets.
But I have it scripted. Would be rather neat to be able to do this from within Glide.
One less reason to rely on scripts.
Yeah, I would like Glide to be able to do it but for now itâs scriptsâŚ
hi there sir,
i have a âsubtotalâ column in sheet-1 and want to show it on a âformâ which is made from sheet-2. How to do?
Youâd need to bring it into sheet 2 somehow using a relation/lookup.
can you please tell how to make relation?
Generally speaking, you need to find or create a column of matching/linking values in each sheet. This is not necessarily the column that has the data that you want to bring over.
Then, in sheet 2, create a relation column in the Glide Data Editor in which youâll select the two column that âmatchâ. Then create a lookup column that brings the column of data that you need to access into the second sheet.
I learned a trick from @Darren_Murphy â I now put a template column in every sheet: tp-link â> with the value
link
No actual use of the template column, bar forcing in the string.
Then I name my re-columns usually just connect tp-link columns together.
Iâve done this before. Helpful for making generalized relations between sheets!
every table?
I think you might be getting a bit carried away with this oneâŚ
almost every table!
Been such a long time. Welcome back. Hope all things good and well @Glider
