Hello everyone,
I hope you’re doing well.
I have been building a community service app called Dawaa Finder using Glide. The app helps users search for medicines and connect with pharmacies that have the medicine in stock through contact buttons and WhatsApp links. I spent several days developing it and setting up relational data between medicines and pharmacies.
However, I recently discovered that publishing the app under the free plan is no longer supported, and I cannot upgrade to a paid plan due to the lack of electronic payment options in my country and not having a bank account that supports online payments. This has been very disappointing, especially after the effort I’ve invested.
I’ve already contacted Glide support requesting an exception, but they responded that they cannot make an exception due to platform policies.
So I’m reaching out here for help.
What I Need Help With:
Are there alternative no-code or low-code platforms like Glide that allow:
Free publishing (Web/PWA or installable)
Relational data support
Easy drag-and-drop UI
Ability to connect user login (email) with data access
Buttons for phone and WhatsApp interaction
Ability to create search and detailed view screens
Minimal technical setup without programming
Any workarounds or best practices to:
Publish a Glide app for real user testing
Use Glide in a way that approximates real published behavior
Integrate with external services that enable free deployment
Suggestions of platforms you have used successfully for similar use cases, especially for:
Service/Directory apps
Apps with authenticated users (e.g., pharmacies) with private data editing
Apps with public search functionality
I’m open to learning, and I welcome any demos, videos, tutorials, or guides that can help.
Thanks in advance for your time and support!
App Context:
Medicine Finder / Pharmacy Directory
Search medicines by name/barcode
Display pharmacy info (name, address, phone, WhatsApp)
User can contact pharmacies directly
Authenticated pharmacies can add/edit their own data
There are many platforms that allow you to do nocode in a similar why to Glide, and a slew of others that allow you to vibecode by building with prompts. An online search will allow you to find a number of solutions. Have you tried using the content of your post inside an AI-prompt connected to web search?
As a side note, friend of mine founded a platform similar to the one your describe: it’s an online medicine finder and it connects to pharmacies all over the country. The marketplace (I think we can call it that) has been running for about 20 years, and at least from what I can tell it’s a complex operation. I don’t think it’s the type of solution you can build in a few days on Glide or a similar platform.
