Hi all. I’m using the free version still as we nail it down but we are now receiving the message “This team has reached its file storage limit” when accessing the app. According to the dashboard we look still ok and under all the shown thresholds? Any ideas as to why this might be showing? Would deleting some of my backups help? I can’t log any help ticket with Glide as I’m still only using the free version (no help available with the free version).
Go to your Billing dashboard and you should see a section titled “Team Quotas”. In this you will see how much file storage you have used.
Assuming that you are over the quota, your only options would be to either upgrade, or delete some files.
Ahhh, I didn’t see that there. I was looking at the usage and everything was looking peachy keen. Ok, well we can’t delete files so upgrade is the only option now. I will see how much space we get with the next level up. I assume there is no option to have storage used elsewhere so could be unlimited? Such as google drive? I assume Glide is the only storage option?
So how can I find out what the storage limits are per plans as it doesn’t mention them on their info page??
You can store files elsewhere if you wish, but if you want users to be able to upload files via Glide, then you need to create workflows to move the files after they’ve been uploaded.
Scroll down a bit…
Ahh, and workflows are available in the Maker version… but if we create workflows to move them, does the Glide app still know where to get them from if when need to get them? I’ve created an excel script that grabs a download of the attachments in the csv sheet. So, could I theoretically change the URL in the backend to, say, google sheet location and it get the files from there while still in the free version? We are keen to go to Maker but just need to raise a bit more money first…
And thanks for pointing out I need to scroll further… I thought I was at the end
One more question if I may. Is there an ability in Glide to limit file size of uploads? Say only accept file size of 1mb or something pre set?
Yes, that should work. At the end of the day, it’s just a link. As long as the link is publicly accessible, it should work.
Not natively. For that sort of validation you’d most likely need a custom form and some JavaScript.
Ahh, ok, well I can’t write javascript so that is that out the window. Fingers crossed that Glide perhaps introduce that option in the future. At the moment, we will have to sit tight but hopefully we will be buying Maker version very soon.
