I’ve used Glide for small projects (basically related to a no-code workshop).
I’m just curious and from time to time I try to do small basic projects for associations and/or friends.
I though my free plan was upgraded to the 500mb (instead of the 200mb) so I totally head dived tinto trying to develop a photoalbum for my company’s Christmas party …
App done, im pretty proud of myself, I may say!
i’m a newby at that company, you know how it is, you just want to cause a good impression, especially showing skills that have nothing to do with your job there…
But the WARNING! Low storage! and I realized i still have only the 200mb and not the 500mb!
So now I don’t know what to do!..
1st. Is there any way to upgrade to the 500mb on my own?
2nd. Any tips on having a somewhat integration that collects the employees pictures and uploads it to Glide gallery without counting for storage?
Sounds like you are on a legacy plan that was deprecated two plan iterations ago. When plans are changed, you are not automatically upgraded to the newest plan. I suggest creating a new free plan, duplicate your app, and then copy the duplicate to that new plan.
If you have a web location for images and a public url to those images, then you can include the url in your data and it won’t count against your storage quota.
If you still want to upload images through the app, and have the images stored elsewhere, then I’m not sure there is a good solution because the free plan does not include integrations or updates. Adding a flow to process the images stored in glide, store them in a different location, and update the new url in the table would be difficult on a free plan.
With another account?
I’ve tried to use another account, make that other account admin and copy the app, but I get a warning that its considered a template, therefore I cannot copy it for another team unless I upload it to the store so the other admin (in this case myself) can buy it.
Also tried to do that but I’m not abble to upload the template (its in Portuguese, according the rules thats a NO for uploading it as a template)
