Pass a Custom Value when completing a form

What I’m requesting:

We have the ability to pass a custom value when filling out a form in a form container or when using the new Comments component. However, native form and edit screens lack this feature.

Why I’m requesting:
Saves me from creating unnecessary template columns or on submit actions.

Voted. I always have to add entries with default value and then hide them using a condition that will never be true. Having something like this would help a lot.
