I was caught by surprise with the decision to disregard public and private users and now only allow a total of 30 users under the Business plan. I had a legacy plan (USD 99) with 5000 public users and upgraded to USD 249, only to get fewer available users, only 30!
Developing an app for just 5000 public users per month now requires, in practice, an investment of USD 30,000, which in my local currency (Brazilian Real) is around R$180,000. Your current pricing plans seem disconnected from the practical reality of applying this technology.
I truly hope I’m wrong, and I would really appreciate it if you could point me to any alternative paths to avoid this level of investment.
What prompted you to upgrade? Is there a feature in the new business plan that wasn’t in your legacy plan? Is there something you can’t do with the Maker plan?
More storage, more updates…
Got it. Not sure what to tell you. Your pro plan was deprecated over a year ago and the current pricing was put into place in November. Glide has added several new features since then to give it more value. Glide tables no longer incur updates, but yes the user allowance has gone down.
It’s all in an effort by Glide to gauge value. More users equals more value. The Maker plan is an exception, but it has various limits such as only allowing personal users and it doesn’t offer all of the features in the business or enterprise plan.
