Allowed users

Hoping that you are all doing well, I have a client who is on the “Trial” business plan, which only allows him to have 40 users, but he would like to have more users in which it will be for public use, then they will not be for private use. How can we change this? Since we have configured the app to be for public use, or does this work after the trial phase is over? Can someone give me a guide? , since more than 800 people will enter, but currently it only allows 40, in which the use is public use.

You can always anable additional user on a business plan at a rate of $5 per additional user.

Otherwise you can switch to a Maker plan with unlimited users, but you are limited to personal email addresses only.

Check the pricing page to learn the pros and cons of each plan. Types and number of users are listed on each plan along with cost per additional user if it applies.

So, it is no longer possible to have unlimited users in the business plan? That is to say, to add extra users it is necessary to pay those 5 USD per user, even though it is not a private application, but a public one.

First of all, to clarify, the current plans do not have a concept of public or private users. Public and private apps…yes, but not users.

I don’t think it was ever possible to have unlimited signed in users on any plan. The legacy business pricing lists 100 private and 10k public users, but that was legacy pricing, and like I said above, there is no concept of public or private users anymore. Unlimited Visitors that do not sign in can use your app, but not unlimited signed in users.

Doesn’t matter if your app is public or private. Under the current pricing, a user is counted as a user if they are signed in. For a business plan it’s $5 per additional user after the initial 40 users have signed in for the billing cycle.

Your main considerations should be whether your app allows any user to sign in (Team, Business, Enterprise) or just personal users (Free, Maker). The other consideration should be the number of users you anticipate (Free: 10 personal users; Maker: unlimited personal users; Team: 20 users; Business: 50 users). Team and Business plans allow you to purchase additional users at a per user cost. Like I said, this is all outlined on the pricing page.

So this is something that they took out because, I have an old application that allows me to have +10,000 users.

According to what you tell me, it is not currently possible, but in the past that did exist because in this application that I have had for a long time, it is still possible for me to do what I am telling you.

Yes it did exist, and it’s clearly stated in the Legacy pricing documentation.

But, the plans changed as of Jan 17th 2024 and any new plans created after that time reflect the current pricing model on the pricing page.

Any existing plans before the change were grandfathered in and still follow the legacy pricing model. New plans however, follow the new pricing model.

Legacy plan, legacy pricing. New plan, new pricing.
