IPhone 17 Pro is not showing up as Mobile Preview

Hi Guys,

I found out that opening apps in IPhone 17 Pro will not show up in Mobile Preview mode. It will show up as Desktop Preview mode.

I have an IPhone 14 Pro, the same App shows up properly in Mobile Preview mode.

Should be a bug.

Do you mean opening the app in a builder environment, on iPhone 17 Pro?

No, the App Builder is functioning as designed. What I meant is that on the actual iPhone device, the display launch differs. On the iPhone 17 Pro, it opens in Desktop Preview mode instead of launching in Mobile Preview mode, whereas on the iPhone 14 Pro, it correctly opens in Mobile Preview mode on the same App.

Are you sure the “Request Desktop Website” setting in your Safari isn’t turned on?

No, I checked. My setting on the iPhone 17 Pro is the same as what you have.

Most likely, it’s because the iPhone 17 Pro’s high resolution makes Glide treat it as an iPad-class device.

Is anyone aware if there would be a work around? It affects the experience of the users using it.

This behavior should ideally be handled by Glide itself, so I recommend contacting the Glide team about it.
