Hi all. I encountered the following problem: When I turn on my geolocation, Glide can show on the map a place that is located, for example, on another street. Is this a problem with the Glide’s position accuracy or with my device?
Often addresses in my country, Trinidad & Tobago, show up in Spain or the USA in Glide. I use coordinates to ensure the correct location is picked up.
Is there a chance that using coordinates is not the only solution?
Technically, if you supply the full address, it should find your location but that hasn’t worked for me (maybe because we don’t commonly use zip codes, etc. here).
You can check out this thread for ideas:
The just problem is that Glide is supposed to automatically look up my geolocation when it’s turned on and I’m in the app. It is not recorded anywhere in advance and is updated in real time (as far as possible)
ohh, I see. I read your issue incorrectly. Measuring devices have some margin of error and it can increase based on other conditions.
Maybe someone who uses this feature can provide more information.
I’ll hope so. Thank you for your desire to help
What is your use case here? To display your own location, or display places that are close to your location?
I need the app to display my location.
I see. I’m not sure if you record your coordinates using a location component, it would get updated over time or not.
Thanks for this link, as I understand it, the problem is in the device from which geolocation is requested. So from Glyde’s side everything is working well. Thank you for your Replies and for your desire to help!
