I have a free plan and I created a Glide app meant to be an internal knowledge base of competitive intelligence. The data in it is basically publicly available data from competitor websites, social media, and their affiliates, but we don’t want to set up the app as public. I am the only one who needs access to the backend of the app and everyone else is simply a viewer.
I’ve added a few colleagues’ emails in the users table, but they constantly have trouble logging in or have to request access every time. I’ve tried the private setting where only a certain domain is allowed and my colleagues keep getting errors saying they need to use a personal email.
I’m really confused as to who and how many can have access. I’ve read several documentation but I’m still confused about what applies to me.
I’ve read that as a free user, I can only have 10 personal users for my app? So if I keep my app private and require a log-in, my colleagues are not allowed to access with their work email? On the other hand, my manager was able to use her work email, request access, and get into the app. She just has to request access each time she tries to log-in.
Then somewhere I’ve read that I can have unlimited viewers if they don’t have to log-in – is this option only available for public apps?
Due to security reasons, we are not allowed to use our personal emails to access a work-related asset.
What’s the best set-up for our case? Glide is new to us and is not part of this year’s budget. We also don’t really need the other paid features at this time, so there is a low chance I could just get a business plan approved at its current price point. Please help!
