Almost any standard image format (jpg, png, gif, etc.) They aren’t part of google photos. They become part of google drive, which is somewhat separate from google photos.
That’s a whole other subject 
Your best bet would be to, ironically, search google and do some further research

exactly- the photo is not visible to others unless it is shared and then you get a different URL for it
