How is File Storage counted?

Using a free app and trying to figure out how I can be at 320MB of storage. Aside from 7 small PDFs there are no other items being stored. There are about 30 YouTube links (which don’t count against storage, as far as I know).

The app has about 120 rows of text across 3 tables - do rows just containing text and computed columns count towards storage, and if so, how much storage does a row of text in a table use?

There are no other apps in the team.

Do you have multiple copies of the same app, or other apps that use the same tables?

The app was copied (but not the sheet/tables) and placed in the new team.

I ended up deleting the app from the team and even after an hour or so the storage usage for the team was still 318MB. There are literally no apps in the team at all. So it’s either linking to another app as you suggest, or it takes Glide much longer than I thought to update storage usage when things are removed.

I asked about other apps because I’ve come across a bug that’s been around for a long time where multiple apps in the same team that share reference to the same url for a file will incorrectly cause your storage to double or triple. In your case, a single app referencing only a handful of PDFs shouldn’t take up that much storage space.

I’m not sure why your storage is so high. As far as I know, deleting any extra apps or removing references to files in your tables should free up storage almost immediately.
