This explains it for me. As I have already stated, I look to build relationships with my clients.
Your statement simply illustrates what I was referring to when I tried to highlight the current disparity between Glide team and some experts or App creators.
You create, charge $4000 for the App and then you donāt care if itās kept as a basic App, Pro App or even entreprise as long as you have your pay dayā¦
Thatās what it sounds likeā¦
Again the beauty of it is that no one can stop you from pricing your offering the way you see fit but I was simply sharing my views on it and my own approach because for me itās important to be sustainable & competitive.
@Luther I think youāre making an ill informed judgement on my approach which I find offensive tbh.
From my point of view I am not equipped, and neither is it my responsibility, to offer accountancy advice to businesses. For that they pay other people better qualified than me. And anyway, in the case of capital expenditure and amortisation they should know those basics anyway.
I donāt charge ANYTHING at this stage to create apps as most have been my own projects.
Iām planning to release a collection of Pro templates for specific niches within my industry so that potential customers can buy them for a reasonable one-off cost. Swap the dummy content for their own and off they go.
I am not hiding the fact they were developed by Glide by purchasing a Pro app to remove the branding, and hide it behind a custom domain.
I have actually suggested to Glide in another thread that they should consider a recurring revenue model for Pro templates purchased in their store that keeps all sides happy, so in effect the Pro templates sit somewhere between the free & pro versions of Glide.
I am not looking at my own payday over all else. If that is what it sounds like to you then I suggest that you read my words carefully and understand the nuances better.
Apologies David but itās hard to not respond when someone is accusing me of charging $4000 (I donāt) and without any care for clients (again, wrong!).
Gliders, and @Luther visit GlideStore. Find Workforce Training to see how we can turn Glide Pages into something which allows payment by credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay etc.
PLEASE DO NOT PAY
Just realised I pasted link directly into the button. So doesnāt matter about selection, will always show workforce training link.
Hi David just confirming so no Sorting feature at the moment on Glide Page?
I was hoping a category feature might allow me to do that but it is not. Thanks for great product.
I think I asked a similar question but never got a response.
I was playing with Pages yesterday with data I use for a Pro app and didnāt get that far. I would much rather the desktop version of Glide apps was improved and I am hoping that Pages is that solution, i.e. not a stand alone product but the desktop version of a Glide app.
