Filter option for Chat Tab

Hi friends,
I am Akshay

I am working on an app that has Users from different states. In the app we are using Chat Tab.
Now the issue is users from all states can see and chat with users of all states.
I want the user should become able to chat with the users of his state.
But the Chat Tab is not has a feature “Filter” by which I can filter chats according to the Users>>State.
ex. Users from Florida should see chats add the user whose state is Florida.

The chat tab is very basic. You can’t filter like that. Instead I would have a tab with a comments component where the topic is set to the user’s state. It’s still one component, but the topic value will act as your filter.
