Hey everyone,
I’m working on an app that displays many educational articles within a collection in the app. Sometimes there are photos embeded in between text, sometimes it’s instructional videos. My solution was to use rich text to embed photos and videos, using the following lines (thanks to glide community) :

and
<video src="UPLOADED VIDEO URL" preload="auto" controls="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video>
I am having issues with storage at this point so I need to find a solution to upload videos elsewhere. Is there a way to embed videos from google drive, youtube(privately), or anything else?
Thanks
Is the issue that you cannot use the Video component because you want the video to appear inbetween rich text ?
Hello, yes I have structured the app in a way that an admin can write articles that will display in a collection. The articles are automatically formatted with Rich text. They would like to write text, display a video, write text, display a photo (for example). Because they do not have access to the backend my solution was to create this through one rich text box.
If you use YouTube, I assume you can just copy the embed code and paste it in your rich text. Vimeo is another alternative.
Google Drive is tricky. Its “preview” links aren’t true streaming URLs and can fail due to auth or bandwidth caps. You might be able to transform the link to a direct download pattern (uc?export=download&id=FILEID), but playback is inconsistent and not production-safe.
