Default Values w/o Component

I think adding a feature where a default value can be set (without using a entry component) would be useful and make the process of creating and maintaining a Glide app much easier.

My Use Case: I have a “support request” form. I would like to easily be able to automatically set the request status to “Received” without the front-end showing that.

If you’re always having a received status then you can have a template column for that.

Else, if you need it to be edited, you can do the default value way but set a condition that will never be true so it won’t display at the front end.
