I am using a ¨data grid¨ view and I would like to add a column where clicking takes me to the detail view of the object in question.

The Data Grid is meant to be an editable table by the user. It’s the Data Editor accessible to the user. This view is not meant to have actions associated to it.
For a table with actions, you could try using a collection with a table style.
ok, but with a collection with a table style I can only have 3 columns. Is there a way to have more than 3?

It’s true the table collection is limited to 3 columns (4 including the image). If you need more attributes, you could use a Template column to join 2 or 3 attributes together and display those in one column.
