Copy existing entry and edit it before submission

Hi,

I have entries I have created and would like to duplicate instead of creating a new entry from scratch.
However, I do not want to have the entry submitted before I review and make changes to it.
So basically, I want the “add item” form to open. containing the information from the existing entry and will allow me to make changes.

Is there a simple way to do that?

Open the form using a button or another action on the existing item and set default values for all of the entry components.
