The text that pops up in iOS that says, “Tap _ then Add to Home Screen” uses the color that the Glide designer chose as the background color of their app icon, which I guess is kind of stylistically cool. However, it sets up a contrast problem whenever you use a light background color:
It would be better if this text were just a default black or white (matching the text above it). I know about the warning that the accent color being too close to other colors in the color scheme, but that shouldn’t be an issue. It tells me that the app icon accent color shouldn’t be tied to so many interface elements in the Glide app. I should be able to choose a white accent for my app without screwing up the UI of my Glide app. Okay, venting complete.
