Community Challenge: Workflows 🏆

Hello Gliders!

Community Challenges are back, starting with our first launch of the year:

:sparkles: Workflows :sparkles:

Workflows let you add automation to your Glide apps, no 3rd party tools required.

For this challenge, we want to see you put workflows to work.

Use Case :briefcase:

We’re keeping it broad for this first challenge.

You can build any kind of app you’d like, but it must include at least one of the new trigger types:

  • Schedule
  • Email
  • Webhook

And it should make use of:

  • Inline loops
  • Conditions

See our Introduction to Workflows in the Glide docs for more details.

How to Enter :inbox_tray:

  1. Build your app in Glide
  2. Record a short demo (5 minutes or less) walking through your build, or prepare a written summary with screenshots
  3. Reply to this thread with your entry

Your entry can include more than one screen recording, if necessary.

Need a screen recorder? Try Loom or Tella.

Not on a paid plan? Use coupon code CHALLENGE01 for a free month of Maker:

  • Create a new Glide team
  • On the Billing screen, upgrade to Maker (Monthly)
  • Apply the coupon code during checkout

Remember to cancel your plan if you don’t want to keep it active.

Entry Requirements :white_check_mark:

  • Show the app experience (i.e. what do users see?)
  • Show how you built the app (i.e. data structure, layout)
  • Show how you used workflows (i.e. triggers, steps)

Deadline :hourglass:

  • Entries must be in by Sunday, January 26th
  • Winners chosen week of Monday, January 27th
  • Winners announced on Friday, January 31st

Rewards :trophy:

Three winners will receive…

  • Challenge Winner community badge
  • $140 in credit applied to a paid Glide team of their choice
  • Opportunity to be featured on the Glide site, socials, and events
